The Menagerie Wars is an MLP AU setting that blends the characters and fantasy trappings of MLP Generation 4 with space opera, cyberpunk, and mecha themes. It chronicles ponykind’s struggle to survive in an exceedingly hostile universe.
The old and decadent Cleomanni Confederacy and their Free Trade Union are the foremost power in a savage region of the Milky Way known as the Menagerie. The Cleomanni regard ponies as a threat due to their paranormal powers, and seek to enslave and exploit them. In response, the Equestrian races, hardened by their experiences of brutal interstellar warfare and the countless atrocities inflicted against their kind, have forged some of the most potent instruments of land warfare in the galaxy, the giant walking machines known as Chargers.
